Solar energy

In a context of rising global energy demand, depleting fossil fuels and increasing environmental concerns, solar energy harnessing at a large scale is becoming an imperative in many countries.

We develop projects, solutions and products for solar energy harnessing at different scales. Our main activities are:

  • Feasibility studies, development, installation and operation of solar facilities for different applications: electrification, water pumping, clean cooking, and public lighting;
  • Local production and distribution of solar energy conversion systems: solar panels, batteries, inverters, etc.

Clean mobility

Transportation sector produces about half of the greenhouse gas emissions locally, and the situation is getting worst given the urbanization and vehicle fleet growth rates. Thus, making mobility more sustainable is one of the key pillars for the decarbonization of the economy.

Our innovation platform is creating a standard for accelerating the transition to clean mobility and deploying the facilities for the electrification of road transport. Our main activities include:

  • Development of efficient, safe and cost-competitive clean mobility solutions;
  • Installation and operation of home, city and highway facilities for electric vehicle charging;

Implementation of synergies to catalyze the deployment of an electro-mobility network

Hydrogen and Fuel cells

Hydrogen is a clean, safe and versatile energy carrier. It is considered the solution to solve the paradigm of mismatch between energy demand time/place and the intermittency/broad-geographical spread of renewable energy sources. As early as 1874, Jules Vernes predicted that hydrogen would be the energy carrier of the future: “I believe that water will one day be employed as fuel, that hydrogen and oxygen which constitute it, used singly or together, will furnish an inexhaustible source of heat and light, of an intensity of which coal is not capable”.

We develop projects, solutions and products for hydrogen economy promotion and development, with the main scope of preparing the local market and society to the energy transition. Our main activities are related to:

  • Feasibility studies, development, installation and operation of power-to-hydrogen energy systems;
  • Development and prototyping of affordable hydrogen energy converters;
  • Education and technology transfer.

Clean cooking

Food cooking represents the largest energy end-use in Global South. However, over 2 billion people worldwide still use non-renewable fuels and polluting technologies for cooking in 2024. Globally, more than 4 million people die annually because of indoor air pollution caused by cooking (4th highest cause of death in developing countries), 40% being children below 5 years old. In order to tackle these issues, we set up in competence center where we work on the following topics:

  • Development of renewable fuels production systems.
  • Design and production of improved cookstoves.
  • Awareness-raising of the impact of polluting technologies on human health and social acceptance of innovative solutions.
  • Financial models for easing access to clean cooking solutions.
  • Knowledge and know-how transfer.

Turnkey renewable fuels processing systems

We have competences in the development, installation, operation and maintenance of turnkey solutions for processing sustainable fuels that are used as energy carriers.
